Meandering along the river Yare passing Hardley Cross and the last working chain ferry on the Broads we reach the charming riverside village of Reedham. The Victorian railway bridge there will swing open for our passage past Polkeys Mill and the famous Berney Arms inn. At the beginning of Breydon Water we see the substantial remains of a Roman settlement and then travel across the Breydon estuary with its teeming wildlife. A lifting bridge will admit us into the seaport of Great Yarmouth. |
